New year's Eve

What better place to celebrate the New Year than in Birmingham's most lively and stylish restaurant Shimla Pinks. A sumptuous 3 course dinner, live entertainment and DJ will ensure your night is a truly memorable one.

Dinner will be available from 7.30pm - 10.00pm

Menu

Glass of champagne on arrival.

A portion of every item will be served.

Starters

Murgh Malai Tikka
Tender pieces of chicken marinated with cheese, cream and ground cumin, roasted on the sigri and then garnished with chat masala and freshly chopped coriander.

Seekh Kebab
The traditional skewer of finely minced lamb delicately flavoured with fresh coriander, tomatoes, mint and spring onions creating an extraordinary play of aromas.

Lamb Chop Masala
Tender lamb chops flavoured with traditional Indian spices and cooked to perfection on the Tawa.

Salmon Ka Tikka
Morsels of pink Scottish salmon gently marinated in dill, fennel and ginger with a trace of mustard oil, roasted on the sigri.

Tandoori Jhinga
King Prawns marinated in mace, cardamom, lemon juice, ginger and garlic then cooked on the Sigri until tender and golden.

Paneer Pakora (v)
Two slices of Indian cheese with a fresh mint centre, deep fried in a light crisp batter.

Summer Vegetable Samosa (v)
A favourite of the Indian connoisseur. Deep fried savoury triangular pastries served on a bed of fresh continental salad.

Mushroom Shaslik (v)
Mushrooms marinated with garlic and delicate spices, grilled with capsicum, tomato and onion.

Main Course

Tikhey Jhinghey
King Prawns cooked in tomato and onion masala, garnished with mixed herbs and coriander.

Lamb Roganjosh
The classic curry of Kashmir where tender lamb is braised in a concentrated broth and then cooked in a rich sauce of myriad spices that provide a host of subtle flavours. Adorned with assorted seeds and fresh coriander.

Chicken Makhani
Tikka of chicken simmered in a smooth buttery tomato gravy, made with juices of the roasted meat and redolent of kasoori fenugreek.

Chicken Karahi
Exquisite Punjabi country fayre of tender chicken braised in a spicy masala of garlic, ginger, onions and tomatoes, with a tempering of crushed coriander seeds and crispy red chillies.

Khazana E Lazat (v)
A creamy cheese kofta simmered in a silky smooth gravy of tomatoes flavoured with garam masala and kasoori methi. This dish is a must for all vegetarians.

Aloo Gobi (v)
Florets of fresh cauliflower and potatoes cooked in a dry sauce, and our own special blend of spices, served with a flourish of fresh coriander.

Tarka Daal (v)
The word tarka is a fusion of garlic, ginger and oil which is then poured over the daal as it cooks to give a rich and distinctive flavour; a must for all daal lovers.

Steamed Basmati Rice (v)
Aromatic basmati rice, the perfect companion for any meal.

Traditional Naan (v)
Classical Indian bread cooked in the tandoor.

Desserts

A wide selection of Desserts will be available from the Buffet table.

Pre-Concert Menu will be served from 5.00pm - 7.00pm for those attending concerts in the city on New Year's Eve. A fixed menu - £29.95 including two glasses of wine per person *
