Christmas Dinner Menu

Christmas Dinner

Come and spoil yourself and those closest to you here at Shimla Pinks. After all it is Christmas time so come join in the festive fun with an evening full of great food, wines and laughter.


A portion of every item will be served.

Savouries

Poppadoms
Served with mango Chutney, mint sauce and spiced onions.

Starters

Murgh Malai Tikka
Tender pieces of chicken marinated with cheese, cream and ground cumin , roasted on the sigri and then garnished with chat masala and freshly chopped coriander.

Seekh Kebab
The traditional skewer of finely minced lamb delicately flavoured with fresh coriander, tomatoes, mint, and spring onions creating an extraordinary play of aromas.

Summer Vegetable Samosa (v)
A favourite of the Indian connoisseur. Deep fried savoury triangular pastries served on a bed of fresh continental salad.

Brussel Sprouts and Spinach Pakora (v)
Caramelised onions, a selection of seasonal vegetables and brussel sprouts all bound together with gram flour and Indian spices and then delicately fried for a unique taste.

Peethiwali Tikki (v)
Indian potato cakes filled with asafoetida tempered peethi of peas and served with three contrasting chutneys- tamarind, mint, and sweet onion.

Fish Amratsari
Succulent chunks of Cod immersed in an ajwain and gram flour batter. Delicately spiced and deep fried to a rich golden colour.

Main Course

Chicken Makhani
Tikka of chicken simmered in a smooth buttery tomato gravy, made with juices of the roasted meat and redolent of kasoori fenugreek.

Chicken Karahi
Exquisite Punjabi country fayre of tender chicken braised in a spicy masala of garlic, ginger, onions and tomatoes, with a tempering of crushed coriander seeds and crispy red chillies.

Lamb Roganjosh
The classic curry of Kashmir where tender lamb is braised in a concentrated broth and then cooked in a rich sauce of myriad spices that provide a host of subtle flavours. Adorned with assorted seeds and fresh coriander.

Aloo Gobi (v)
Florets of fresh cauliflower and potatoes cooked in a dry sauce, and our own special blend of spices, served with a flourish of fresh coriander.

Tarka Daal (v)
The word tarka is a fusion of garlic, ginger and oil which is then poured over the daal as it cooks to give a rich and distinctive flavour; a must for all daal lovers.

Steamed Basmati Rice (v)
Aromatic basmati rice, the perfect companion for any meal.

Traditional Naan (v)
Classical Indian bread cooked in the tandoor.

Traditional Indian ice cream served in two mouth watering flavours.

Gulab Jaman served with Cardomam Ice Cream

Early Bird Offer and Pre-theatre/concert dinner 5.00pm - 7.00pm £14.95 per person *

7.00pm - 01.00am £22.95 per person, £12.95 per child ** (3 years and under eat free)
